Matched Ownership - Linking Properties

For Associations that include owners of multiple properties, you have the ability to link these accounts within HOALife. This would allow owners to have access to their multiple association properties with a single login, rather than a login for each unique address. This setting does not make any changes to your property list or merge properties within the Dashboard, but rather allows owners to have a more straightforward process when accessing their properties within their HOALife Owner’s Portal. 

There are four different settings that can be chosen when enabling this feature: 

  • Mailing name mailing address - Matches properties on mailing name and full mailing address and creates "purposed" links that have to manually be opted in to by a dashboard user
  • Mailing name mailing address emails and phone numbers - Same as above but also including emails and phone numbers for an extra layer of confidence that these properties should be linked
  • Auto accept variants: Automatic linking of properties if the values match. This setting does not allow for the owner or user to opt in 

Please note: Matching is case/space insensitive (i.e. "Don Smith" matches "don   smith")

On the property page in your Dashboard, you will be able to find the information regarding the matched properties and the ability to link/unlink.

Under the Manual settings, a user will have to accept the property link in order for the matched properties to be joined. Both the Manual and Automatic settings allow a user to disable any property links as necessary.

From the Owner’s Portal, the owner will now be able to view and access their unique properties under one login with a single click! 

If there are no matched properties, no changes will be seen. Enabling this setting will only affect properties that fall under the criteria chosen.

Once enabled, all matches will be set appropriately. Changing the value will reset all matches for all properties (even sub accounts). Be careful about changing these matches after users have possibly linked/unlinked properties!
